FILMMAKER'S STATEMENT

Hello and thanks for coming to hondabluefilms.com. We have worked endlessly for the success of Precious Cargo. A couple of things have come up with regards to the making of the first two pieces that I would like to comment on.

First, our approach. The success of our work has come because we were genuinely interested in our subjects and cared for them as friends and collaborators. This is a formula created by the giants of documentary film and we thank them for the inspiration to work in the same vein. The technical aspects are important but you must fall in love with your subjects in order to get at something real.

Second, our intentions with regards to the future of Precious Cargo. We see this as a series that would make sense being shown on network television where a large audience can be drawn in by the feel good stories presented. The hope, then, is that the guts and passion of the subjects moves people to get involved and help others as well. We want to make thirty separate pieces and have them air over an undetermined period of time. With a bit of good luck we can make this happen.

I would like to give a little credit where credit is due...
